Connect Four

This simple but popular game was first sold by Milton Bradley in 1974. Two players take turns inserting their coloured discs into the grid, aiming to be the first to form a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line of four of their own discs.

My version of the game was built for the ‘Games’ Secretary’s Challenge at the South East London Meccano Club.

The use of red and yellow ½” pulleys for the player discs does not allow the grid cells to be square, but the bottom of the grid can swing out to release the discs, just like it does in the original game.
